Letters to the editor volume one number one
Dear Sexing the Political:
Just a short comment about "The Feminism of Everyday Life" from Vol 1, Number 1, by Melisse Gelula. I just wanted to say that I am in my final semester of college and have long had the foresight to be...frustrated?...scared?....unprepared?...for life outside Women's Studies and inside a cubicle. I'm looking forward to hearing what this column has to say. The preface is a literal translation of so many of my thoughts. Terry M. McGaugh
Dear STP:
I truly enjoyed Alia's article. It was fun and light, but made a good point. Certainly, we all know that stereotypes, when used as a weapon, can be damaging. However, stereotypes, when used in the sense that Alia referred to them, can be life-savers. It was nice reading something that encouraged people to relax and to see a different point of view in an intelligent manner. More such articles would be wonderful.
